In the east, opposite the setting sun, was a large structure, Isaac even with his enhanced vision could barely make it out. But there was definitely something there.
He had no idea where in this desert he was, but he figured heading towards that structure was as good as place as any.
Leaving the soft grass of the oasis, he began his trek towards the structure, which from what he could see was some sort of pyramid with two tall towers on either side of it.
It was awkward walking in the sand, his heavy body and clawed paws made it difficult to move without sinking, and he started to quickly grow uncomfortable as sand began to fill the gaps between his paws, an unpleasant but bearable sensation.
Night seemed to take over the world quickly, and Isaac noticed a frigid drop in temperature, he could hardly imagine what kind of life could prosper here, hot scorching days, and freezing nights, if he didn’t have his thick furred body, he doubted he would survive exposure out here for long.
It took Isaac until midnight, to even get halfway towards the temple, it was getting closer, so he was making progress, but something was wrong.
Isaac stopped, his ears pricked as he turned towards a cactis to his left. He had seen that exact cactus before. The same shape, the same number of limbs, two blooming pink flowers on the right limb, one budding flower on the left.
