Still shaken by the blast, you slowly get up and look at your skin. It's a strange deep green color, with light brown spots here and there. You run a finger across it, and instead of your usual dry, hairy skin it feels slick to the touch, as if it was covered in slime. Speaking of your fingers: you now notice there's a thin, semi-translucent webbing between them, and your fingers look a lot longer as well. Using one webbed hand to bend another, you discover you practically have no bones in your hands and can bend them like fins! The same happened to your feet: your toes are extremely long, with strong webbing between them. All these changes can only mean one thing, but you refuse to believe it and want to see for yourself. Standing straight has become next to impossible all of the sudden, and sitting on your haunches you manage to hop forward towards a puddle of water. You bend your head towards the surface, and what you see positively scares you.
Your face has become one wide smile, concealing a rope tongue of almost impossible length. Your ears and nose have receded into your sleek frog face, you're completely hairless and your eyes are bulging out of your head like two giant yellow bulbs. You try to produce a sound from your throat that can express your surprise, but all you can manage is inflating your chest area and letting out a loud "CRRROAK!" There's no escaping it, she has given you the form of a frogman so you'll be forever stuck between land and sea. You don't feel like living in the sea, but you'll have to from time to time in order to rehydrate your body. Clia has left you little of an option, sooner or later you'll have to return to her; and if not, she has at least made certain you'll always have a memory of the water.
All you can hope for is that once you find her, she'll be able to understand your croaks and ribbits.
