To make matters worse, Leah hears Tina’s voice.
“Leah, I’m ready to- oh no.” Leah turns around, her face beet red. “Did you have an accident?”
“I- the bathroom-” Leah stammers. Tina sighs.
“I understand. Don’t worry, I still owe you big time, so I’ll let it slide. But we will need to find you something else to wear, because I won’t let pee pants in my car. Julie?”
“I’m on it,” says the daycare worker who involuntarily caused Leah’s accident. She leaves.
“You can wait in the bathroom,” Tina instructs. Leah nods and ducks into the bathroom. She removes her wet clothes, cleans herself up, and uses the toilet. Just as she’s washing up, there’s a knock on the door. Leah opens it a crack. Tina hands her some clothes. “Get dressed and we can go.”
