He reached for the watch, and although the straps of the stroller restricted him, he did his best to hit the button, not really concentrating on who he'd swap with so long as it was ANYONE else. He just needed to be anyone old enough to talk to get himself out of this scenario. But, that's when the worst case happened, and he failed.
Before he could manage to hit the button on the watches' side, he found it being easily slipped off his wrist. Tim reached out in desperation, making any gurgling sound he could to protest, but it was of no use.
"Huh, this looks expensive." Kim's mother muttered to herself. "How'd she get this?"
"Ba! Baga!" Tim pleaded for her to just give it back, reaching out. The mother noticed this and smiled as she placed the watch away in her purse.
"No sweetie, this isn't a toy." She told Tim in a sing song voice. "I don't know how you got this from your daddy, but this isn't for baby girls to have." She smiled before standing back up and walking behind him to continue pushing the massive stroller.
"Shit... shit!!!" He thought angrily. How could he have messed up this badly!? He knew he should've just immediately switched back, but he had gotten too preoccupied by the strangeness of it all, and now he was paying the price. He felt tears welling up, but quickly wiped them away and straightened his face.
"No! I will NOT let this life's emotions to overwhelm me." He thought. "I'm a man dammit!"
Tim breathed in and out, and eventually calmed down enough to think. He fixed "his" diaper before looking down at his wrist where the watch once was.
"Okay, no big deal. She still has the watch, and she thinks it belongs to her husband. That just means all I have to do is stay patient for long enough than grab it before she gives it to him. Shouldn't be too hard." He guessed.
"Oh, why hello Carol!" Another woman's voice rose out.
Tim glanced up to see some middle aged white woman wearing jeans and a sweater vest with a name tag on it. Tim tried to read it, but found it was just gibberish.
"Great, don't tell me I can't even freaking read!" He internally sighed.
"Hey Martha, good to see you." Carol greeted, walking over to give her friend a hug.
"So Kim's mother is named Carol... good to know I guess." Tim thought.
"And it's good to see this little cutie." Martha chuckled, leaning over to pinch Tim's cheek. Tim just frowned, trying to not get angrier than he was. It wasn't their fault they saw him as a baby girl.
"Ooo, be careful Martha." Carol warned. "Kim's been awfully fussy today." She sighed.
"That's okay Carol, I'm a daycare worker after all I know how to deal with fussy babies. When will you be picking her up?" Martha asked.
"Shit, I don't wanna sit through freaking daycare!" Tim thought. "Is there anything I can do?!" He wondered, trying to figure out something.
