Tina thinks that the distraction was disgusting. She’s incredibly glad to have not been reduced to an age where she enough to needs protection. As evidenced by Grant peeing himself on accident earlier, seemingly without realizing until after. At least the bowel movement was on purpose, though Tina doesn’t think it’s a good sign that his first thought of a distraction was to mess himself.
Surprisingly, sneaking out of the police station is incredibly easy. Tina is free by the time that Grant is being brought to the changing table to be put into a diaper. She walks down the street, trying to act like she hasn’t just escaped from a police station. It takes her quite some time to find a bus station, but once she does, she’s easily able to go back home.
“Hi, sweetie!” coos an elderly woman on the bus. Tina forces a smile. “You’re such a big girl, going on the bus on your own!”
“Yep, I’m big,” Tina confirms. The elderly woman beams.
“Where are you going?”
“Home.”
“Where are you coming from?” the elderly woman asks. Before Tina has to think of a lie, they arrive at her stop. She smiles at the woman quickly, then disembarks. Upon walking up to her apartment complex, she digs her keys out of the plastic, juvenile purse she got for her disguise. She goes inside and enters the elevator, then presses the button for her floor. Someone she doesn’t know gets in as well.
“What are you doing around here, little girl?” the person, a middle-aged man, asks.
“Visiting my uncle,” Tina fibs.
“Ah.” An awkward silence falls. They get to Tina’s floor. She gets off the elevator, walks to her apartment, and enters, locking the door behind her. With a sigh of relief, she makes a beeline for the place she stashed the Perfect Appearance Mirror.
Tina grabs the mirror and sits down. Earlier, she had actually procured a lot of DNA samples, so that she would have a variety of options to choose from. Now, she has to decide how she’ll change herself to go pick up Grant.
