Grant can’t think of anything to do except sit on the floor in his shirt and diaper, pouting. He’s not happy he’s landed himself in this situation. Why did he have to use pooping himself as his distraction? He should have just told the supervisor he needed to poop! Before he can simmer for very long, however, the supervisor comes back.
“Aw, are you shy?” he coos. “I’ll help you.” The supervisor leads Grant over to a couple of other toddlers in diapers, playing with some blocks in a corner. “Go on! Play!” Knowing that the supervisor won’t leave him alone until he starts playing, Grant reluctantly picks up a block and joins in.
To Grant’s surprise, he enjoys himself. He enjoys himself so much, in fact, that when he feels the urge to pee, he doesn’t want to stop playing to use the potty. So, figuring that he might as well use the diaper he got stuck in, he wets himself. His diaper doesn’t turn yellow, so he must not have peed much.
Playtime is interrupted by a snack and diaper check. Grant happily guzzles down his juicebox while the supervisor inspects his diaper.
“Hmm. Damp, but you can probably wait to be changed,” the supervisor says. Grant finishes his snack. The supervisor immediately picks him up and carries him over to a crib. “Okay, time for nap!”
“I not tired,” Grant protests. The supervisor chuckles.
“Just try to sleep for me, okay?” Before Grant can protest further, the supervisor walks away. Sighing, Grant curls up in the crib. He falls asleep immediately.
The sensation of something being removed from his body wakes Grant up. He opens his eyes blearily. The supervisor smiles at him.
“Sorry, I was hoping I could change you without waking you up. But your parent is here for you, and I don’t think you’d wanna go home in a wet diapy.” Grant lays back and lets the supervisor finish changing his diaper. Then, he is carried, looking over the supervisor’s shoulder, over to the person who has come to pick him up.
“He came here in pull-ups but had a messy accident, so I downgraded him to diapers. His diaper is fresh now, though, so he should be good for the rest of his nap. Oh, I had to wake him up from his nap. You’ll want to put him down once you get home. Would you remind me of your name? I need that information for checking him out.”
Grant wonders idly if Tina went back to Thomas, or if she decided to stay Tina for a bit.
The person who has come to pick Grant up speaks. Their name is…
