In a small rural town, a yōkai silently makes it way into its borders.
Unlike most Japanese folklore, this yōkai was not quite like the aggressive creatures that cursed humans whether it was of injustice or personal mischievousness like the myths say. This one was in fact the last of its kind, and it was looking for a way to keep its species alive and thriving. And in this one's case, it thought of the perfect plan to use the town for this end.
In this yōkai's case, it not only wanted to bring back its species, but also to establish its own clan or followers. And what better way to begin and expand than by molding the easily malleable bodies and minds of human beings? Oh, while it wasn't hateful to humans, it certainly had a mischievous and manipulative personality, though it only wanted to do it in a strangely malevolently benevolent way.
