Jeff gave it a decent amount of thought and decided that he wanted to try his hand at adulthood. He relished the freedom it promised as well as the respect and power he would be given. He realized there was so very much he didn't know but smiled knowing that would soon be his dad's problem to figure out.

Jeff will make friends and have a job and be invited to a summer party. Either as a cost to enhance Jeff or just as a vacation for all the work you did, you will become Jeff's young son and be brought to the outing with him. You briefly watch him interact naturally with the adults before you begin playing with the other kids, confident in the fact that you have succeeded as a parent."
Another option appeared, allowing him to ensure his dad will associate this idea with some aspect of his life, Jeff typed in "Responsibilities as a parent"
An interactive timeline graph appeared with a highlighted area showing his "historical" focus on this desire. There were actually a few spikes during the timeframe of Jeff's conception and as a toddler but the desire faded out as his dad accepted what little control he actually had over who Jeff was as a person. Jeff raised his father's awareness of this desire keeping it below levels Mike would take action on, but persistent. In the most recent couple months Jeff steadily increased his dad's focus on the idea. There was another graph showing future progression of the desire and Jeff chose an exponential increase which plateaued after two days.
Jeff decided Mike should perceive this desire as wholesome, as opposed to shameful, weird, or worrisome. The final option, was the type of gratification his father received from this desire. Jeff selected pride though he was curious what effect selecting sexual would have.
Jeff applied the changes and went downstairs. His father was watching tv and Jeff noticed he was avidly watching a commercial showing a boy progress through life rapidly, It showed childhood cuts and scrapes with the boy suddenly in a cast, teenage car accidents, him buying a house then a tree branch having knocked off the gutters, having a child of his own and then flashed an insurance company's name and slogan. Jeff smirked and decided not to interrupt as Mike pushed a button on the DVR to replay the commercial.
The next day, Jeff had figured out how to introduce his dad to the Chronivac while maintaining his innocence in the situation. After a little setup and testing, Jeff had prepared the perfect ploy. "Hey dad, could you come here?" Mike appeared a few minutes later. "So dad, you remember yesterday I was trying to set something up for you?" Jeff pulled out his phone and opened the PicChat app showing his dad the funny overlays and transformations the app could do.
"This program came in the mail for me to be a beta tester. It talks about all the transformations it can do so I was going to make a video of us. I reasoned that it specialized in timelapse based on it being named Chronivac. Like Chronos the Titan of time. I've been playing with various settings and it seems pretty comprehensive, but I can't get it to do anything..." Jeff queued up the transformation he had already looked into. "Like this one for example, it's called 'Combat Ready', so I'd imagine based on the settings. it would change a photo or video to make you turn into a soldier, movie hero, or video game avatar. It has weird perspective settings at the bottom and I flipped those around a few times but didn't notice anything." Jeff had set user unaware, world aware. "I select apply, and it doesn't give me the option to pick a video or photo of me..."
Although Jeff didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, he had tested before and knew he was becoming a buff 20 something man in army fatigues armed with a pistol and bowie knife. "So the machine says its applying changes, but to what I can't figure out. After it applies things I've been clicking revert changes just in case its messing with my computer." Jeff clicked the button. "So, do you think you could look into this? I've spent hours already and am tired of doing the same thing and getting nowhere."
Mike nodded, dumbfounded, "Great, Thanks Dad, you're the greatest. I'm going to get some fresh air before it gets dark."
