Christmas 2020 was considerably less energetic than it had been before due to the recent pandemic, but news of a Coronavirus mutation having been discovered was slowing things down, but Animalia and its colonies were seemingly the least effected by the current pandemic, even though no one could really discover why this was. It was still festive though, even if things were a little more 'dispersed'.

The gift exchange was as much fun as it usually was, even with signs of the times around. Everyone still had a good laugh at what some people got. But there were a few "traditions" that still baffled Animalians, such as ugly sweaters.

The Midwinter Festival at Heiya Island had adapted some Western traditions, such as Christmas gift giving, with a lot of mixed reactions, especially amongst the girls who were rescued from that slavers ring, especially Rose and Mai. There were also a few amusing scenes, such as Muxing using her "holistic healing/acupuncture" to treat several girls who had gotten hiccups from eating too fast.

Maelewano's Kwanza celebration was making headlines all over the world, mainly because it was the first of its kind ever covered. There were a lot of things that were that were considered "strange", "unusual", or similar things by people who were unfamiliar with Kwanza traditions, but the most amusing part of these coverages were the culture shock that often resulted from these encounters.

There were a few people who were "gifted" with either conversions, or really unusual gifts. Leila's "gift" was one of the latter, since she was showing Dan and Roger what she had learned from Belly dancing class, and she was already developing a reputation as a prodigy for such a thing.

Probably what held quite a bit of attention was the "classier" Christmas Party at what was now known as Fennec Hall. What made it different from the one at the Great Hall was the simple fact that there were a lot more expensive Christmas foods there, as well as a lot of people wearing expensive clothes and dresses. Miles was there to do some coverage on that party, and while it did set things up for snide remarks about the wealthy on the Animalia Website, there were more than enough people on the website who were able to call them out and/or expose them for being snide morons.
