Jeff’s owner was soon in his favorite chair puffing away. Each puff was resetting Jeff’s imprisonment to another 12 hours, but as the old man was reading he was looking at the device and wondering g if this was some joke.
After finishing the manual and his favorite pipe he went inside. Setting his pipe back in its rack, he started up the device.

The device had finished booting up. The old bear saw his name. Bruce Jones. He saw all of his information and descriptions of himself and every off attribute you could imagine. The device had scanned himself and his life and had a listing of all of it.
Bruce however noticed under other local users someone named Jeff. He selected the other user’s profile and raised an eyebrow. He let out bit of a laugh in delight.
Jeff was worried. The request did provide a way out but he had no power to do anything about it. Bruce had finished and was playing on the device when he heard the old man laugh. He came over to the pipe rack and picked up Jeff, eyeing the pipe.
“Well pipe, or should i say Jeff. Can’t believe you didn’t think this through before submitting your transformation request like that. Don’t worry. I can fix this for us”
Jeff’s heart would have skipped a beat if he had one. Bruce went into settings for Jeff’s transformation and switched duration from variable to permanent.
“There we go. No need to worry about that timer getting your hopes up. You’re my favorite pipe and you’ll be staying that way forever you chump.”
Jeff wanted to panic and scream. Soon though Bruce was clicking a few more settings.
* Chamge user account from Jeff to Bruce’s pipe. Lock user account Bruce's pipe.*
In the back of Jeff’s mine he heard the Chronivac’s voice.
“User name changed to Bruce’s pipe. Transformation set to permanent. Account locked. No further changes allowed”
Bruce’s pipe panicked. It couldn’t remember his old name or life. It used to be a man but now it was a tool to bring Bruce please. One bowl at a time.
