As Darren and Bob continued to talk, Darren found himself becoming more and more comfortable with the laid back teen. Bob was easy going and charismatic, could he also be trustworthy? Taking a deep breath Darren now decided to make a leap of faith. "Hey Bob I need to show you something."
Bob nodded, watching intently as Darren took a deep breath. Darren was going to take things slow, he just need something to change first. Spotting a statue, Darren now had an idea. "Watch this."
Darren now focused on the granite statue in front of them, a relic of one of the town's founders erected perhaps 50 plus years ago. Years of neglect had scarred the statue to the point where it appeared much older than it was.
Darren now began the process of changing the statue, the granite began to shine, its texture smoothing, becoming shinier and far less course. Bob stared slack jawed as the color of the granite began to change, going from stone grey to a brilliant bronze. Now, instead of a forgotten granite statue, a magnificent bronze statue stood before the two teens.
"Oh my god," Bob whispered. "Darren did you do that?" Darren nodded, watching as his friend continued to stare in wide eyed wonder. "How did you do that?"
"Magic" Darren shrugged. "I can change things, how they look, what they are, even their age or reality itself."
"Dude that's incredible," Bob exclaimed. "And so crazy, I can remember the statue being long forgotten but Ibcan also remember it as it is now. How is that posaoble?"
"I altered reality," Darren stated nonchalantly. "When I made this change though I wanted you to see what I can do. CAn I trust you with this? This isnt something I like to out out in the open, it's kind if a secret."
"I swear I'll keep it secret," Bob said excitedly. "I just have one question? What else can we do?"
