Monica wasn't convinced that was a good thing, seeing that some members of the audience were still pointing and giggling at her boyfriend. Sure, what Damon had wished for was dumb and embarrassing, and she would probably be laughing too if it was someone else, but still she kind of wanted to run out there and start ripping people's hair out for making fun of her man. She was also just as pissed at the Madame for humiliating him in front of everyone as she was at Damon for humiliating himself and her. Even so, it was clear that Damon had got what he wanted, and if Madame Illusia was truly a woman of her word, then surely...
"Everyone here has seen that I'm still standing by my man even though he would rather a baby where bathroom issues are concerned." The audience burst out laughing, but Monica kept her composure. Damon lowered his head and blushed, but she continued. "You see, I can't really judge Damon or blame him for what he wants, because I have a ... secret desire, as well."
"Oh?" the Madame raised an eyebrow. The audience gasped.
"You see, all my life, since I was a little girl, and even more as the years have gone by, I have always secretly wanted ..."
Monica's confident, theatrical on-stage persona was starting to fail her, seeing the audience once more and remembering their reaction to Damon. Could she really go through with this? Could she tell the Madame what she wanted?
"Go on," said the Madame with a reassuring smile. "Even a wish like Damon's is worth the embarrassment and inconvenience if it's really what you've truly wanted your whole life."
Monica took a deep breath and mentally agreed. She spoke again. "I have always wanted ... to be a pet. In fact, I'd love to be Damon's pet, if he would have me."
Damon smiled lovingly. The audience cheered. The Madame cracked her knuckles. "That can be arranged simply enough," she proclaimed. "What sort of pet would you like to be? There are many different kinds of pet lifestyle. You could be the kind of pet that learns tricks and goes for walks in the park, the kind that lives in a tank or a cage with no worries and little freedom, the kind that gives rides to its owner, or even an aloof pet that spends time with humans as it chooses. Maybe you even have another vision in mind of what it means to pet. Just keep in mind: what you choose, you choose for life."
