Marcia suddenly became aware of her clothes growing looser on her body. Luckily, this allowed Marcia to slip her arms through her jacket sleeves and out of the banshee's grip, at the cost of losing her bag in the process.
Regardless, Marcia made quick use of her freedom and sprinted down the hall. The creature was hot on her heels though. Realizing she was not going to outrun the thing for long, Marcia was never thankful for her mnemonic memory as she quickly reviewed the information she had been given.
The key piece turned out to be that the banshee only pounded on occupied room's doors. Spotting a slightly ajar door, Marcia threw herself inside and kicked the door closed.
While she laid on the floor panting, she heard the banshee pounding on the door and wailing. Doing her best to filter out the noise, Marcia climbed to her feet and inspected the room. It turned out to be a currently unoccupied guest room.
She poked around looking for anything that would help her out of this bind, but nothing seemed particularly noteworthy. That is until she caught sight of her reflection and learned why her clothes were loose.
Instead of her normal body, well toned from her last few years of supernatural heroics, she saw her body from high school. A notable bookworm during her teens, Marcia was now definitely on the scrawny side.
Marcia was thankfully not prone to panic, anyone dealing with the supernatural for long is bound to have some sort of incident or two. Relative to some of the creatures she's had near misses with before, this wasn't even particularly bad. Though it was certainly a complicating factor.
If she had her bag she could easily neutralize the banshee and worry about the long term implications later. But retrieving that could give the spirit another chance to grab her and she wasn't keen on losing anymore years.
Rusty had his own supplies and if she could catch up to him she would be able to come back for her stuff after defeating the banshee. Though her options for getting to the other side of the mansion required her to either use the hallway and risk running into the banshee without any supplies or jumping out of this room's window.
Marcie sensed the banshee moving away from the door, if she was going to go that way she had to go now before it comes back.
