Drew wheels her suitcase through the airport of her home town. The lamp is in her carry on bag. After her date with Ethan, she woke up with a headache. New memoirs rush into her head of growing up a girl. Memoirs of being close to her niece instead of her nephew. A tall skinny teen girl runs up and hugs her. "Ellie, girl you have grown" I say "Duh, I am elven, last time you saw me I was eight" she says.
"Yay, college students can rarely fly home, need some thing else to call you your too tall now to call shrimp, your tall skinny I know scarecrow". "Vary funny aunt Drew" Ellie says, as every one else gets their, my sister Candy(mid thirties), Frank(nine), my other sister Beth( late thirties), her daughter Candance(14), and son Dan (11).
We hug and Beth asks "How was the flight?". "Short, I slept throw most of it, the malls open?" I say. "Yes, they are we have few covid cases here" Beth says, she is the more talkative of my sisters. "Any one you are looking forward to seeing" Candy asks. "Well mom and dad, ofcorse" I say. Our dad is writer of a popular steampunk/fantasy series of books and mom is a second generation hippy that makes things out herbs. "Mom has been living over the shop lately and dad`s been caught up in writing some thing new" Candy says.
"I like your family" Beldazarr says in my mind. Maybe they are open minded enough to except Beldazarr, ofcorse it is one thing to write about fantasy things and an other meeting them for real.
The family land looked no different the shop is a two story thing, a privacy hedge, than the two houses, Candy and her kids live in the house on the right with our parents and Beth and her kids live in the house on the left, both dads are out of the picture.
