Ravenloft
The word still echo in your mind.
The demi-plane of dread in the aD&D roleplaying game.
One of your favourite campaign setting.
You can still remember how John, your gang DM(dungeon master), was
so good at remaking the ambiance of the land of horror. He really was good at descripting a scene and making his players cower with fear, sure he was. You remember some of your adventure were you fough vampires, lycanthrope, necromancer and a couple of other critters.
You remember how people laughed at you when they saw you were a girl.
They thought no girl could best them in that game. They thought that until you showed them off your great skill at role-playing a character giving peoples the feeling it really exist.
And you also remember how shocked some of the player got when they realized that the monstruous beast(undead or livind)that they had encountered was NOT really because it was ONCE HUMAN before.
Even more lost in your thought you remember a lot of your character.
-Liam, the holy paladin that got cursed in becoming a death knight after he was forced in killing his loved-one.
-Saria, the witch that was able to escape that cursed demi-plane.
-Melina. Well... a female necromancer. She was one of your few evil-at-the-beggining character. John liked so much how you really role-played her well that she finnaly got her own realm(and prison) in the demi-plane.
-Cassy, a wizardess from another game world. She was quite a unlucky fellow as she quickly got infected by a werewolf soon after entering the demi-plane. John still use her as a NPC(non-player character) from time to time, thought. Her dual nature as a lycanthrope make her both a possible allie on her human shape and a very likely foe on her werewolf witch shape.
There were also quite a bunch of other character but you can't recall them.
But anyway these thought quickly get out of your mind again as you look again at the sign on the top of the huge old castle gate.

So they made a theme park about it. Good, but they are better to be AT LEAST as good as John at recreating it's ambiance. Because, if it is not, then it is not worth visiting.
Anyway, beside this, you and your gang(John, Ally and Emily) enter the "park"...
