Nathaniel decided to bury one of the rings in the garden of the home as he didn't want anyone to be exposed to potential black magic and prayed no one would find it. Considering the fairly large house was on 6 acres of land he thought no one would find it.
Alia Flores woke up today and enjoyed the sunlight. She went to conduct her normal morning routine and decided to have some cereal for breakfast. Alia is a mixed Mexcian-Jordanian American. She bought the house a year ago in cash. She got the house at a steal due to it being a stigmatized property (due to the reports about Sarah) and general wear in tear. This didn't matter though as even with the extensive renovation costs it was still way cheaper than most large homes in her part of Louisiana, plus having six acres of land will give it great resale value if she wants to move later. She has a great job as an accountant and gets to work from home with minimal office travel (if any). She made a partner and got her CPA last year. The 29-year-old Alia has a pretty good life. Alia, also loves anything occult-related and when she heard about this house she had to buy it. Alia lives with her older brother Jose. Jose is 37 years old and currently working odd jobs. He lost everything to his ex-wife and has been on a downward spiral ever since. He tries to do good but his luck is absolute shit. Alia keeps him around as a wishing to their dying parents.
Jose was in the garden tending to the plants. He enjoyed landscaping and gardening as it took his mind off his bad luck and shitty life. He felt ashamed that he could not provide for himself and that he has to leach off Alia. He was planting a new tree when he noticed an object in the ground. It was a shiny ring. He grabbed and inspected it. It looked old like it was from the 1800s. Yet there was no rust. This was odd. I put the ring in his pocket and thought he would show it to Alia as she was a fan of trinkets and just maybe a witch artifact that she would love to have. At the very least they could sell it.
