Clara is a 6 year old girl who lives happily with her parents, but unfortunately there was a tragedy.
With her 7th birthday approaching, Clara's parents took advantage of the fact that she was at school to go and buy her a birthday present, but ended up getting involved in a serious accident where they both died.
Due to her parents' death, Clara moved in with her grandmother, her father's mother. In the first days she was still depressed by the loss of her parents, but in a few days she got better and she was happier.
As a child Clara did not suspect that her recovery was not natural until three months later. She woke up in the middle of the night and went to the bathroom, but when she returned to her bed she realized that her grandmother's bedroom door was ajar and the light was on. She peeked to see what her grandmother was doing and saw that she was reading a book, but she was surprised when she saw the old woman touch an empty glass on the desk and juice appear out of nowhere in it.
"Wow grandma, how did you do that? It seems like magic." Clara said opening the door for good and entering the room, scaring her grandmother.
"What a scare Clara. What are you doing up in the middle of the night?" her grandmother said
"I just had to go to the bathroom, but that's not important. I was surprised when I saw you make the juice appear in the glass. How did you do that?" Clara said
"I'll tell you only if you promise to keep it a secret." her grandmother said
"I promise, it will be our secret." Clara said
"So I will tell you something about me that even your father who was my son knew." her grandmother said, then drank the juice and touched the rim causing it to fill with juice again and saying "I am a witch."
"Cool, I want to be a witch too. Can you teach me?" Clara said
Being taken aback by what her granddaughter said, the witch said she would think about the subject and then give the answer.
Years passed and it was only when Clara turned 15 that her grandmother accepted and started teaching her to perform some spells. Now, at 19, she is still an apprentice witch and a university student.
