Dylan walked into the lecture that was still not ready to begin yet. There were still some students that were on their way, and the lecturer hadn't made it into the room. However, a very small group of students were already in the building. Dylan looked around, trying to find some people who would be tired or unaware of their surroundings so that he could put on these magic animal parts.
There was a small trio of friends talking and laughing about. Unaware of their surroundings, but would absolutely notice someone trying to put an antler or trunk on them or one of their friends. There was a guy on his phone, just watching videos. Dylan thought about him but knew there could be a possibility that the screen on his phone could reflect what Dylan was about to do, making him aware at the last few seconds...
...and then there was Alice Blythe.
Alice was a workaholic student. If there was a task she had to do, she would do it to the n-th degree. She would finish assignments in mere days despite it not being due for two weeks. And when there was a test or exam on, she would stay up all night getting every bit of information written, rewritten, and processed in her mind ready for the exam so she can ace it. The thing was...
...the exam wasn't on until Friday. And it was Tuesday. This wasn't the first time that Alice did this too. Dylan knew about her exam studying habits last year and the exam she had was also on a Friday. So, throughout the week of the exam periods, Alice would sleep during whatever time she had free. And it wasn't much. Dylan was a pretty good friend to Alice. They didn't have much classes together but would occasionally hang out throughout the year. They would occasionally chat about life, how their family is going and just small talk. She didn't hang out much outside of school, since most of her time was spent finishing assignments and studying, but when they hung out, it was fun enough.
Alice was face down on her desk, silently sleeping away. Completely unaware. And the surrounding students didn't even look to where she was. The perfect person, place and time to put on these magic animal parts.
Dylan carefully and quietly inched to her, pulling out the rabbit ears. He thought that, out of his options, they would be perfect for her. He managed to move them onto her ears without any hassle. Dylan watched as the ears repositioned themselves and started to fuse to the skin. The hairs of the ears started to surround the area of the skin that the ears were, making it more like they were a part of her body. The stiffness of the rabbit ears then drooped down, as they rested just like how Alice was.
Dylan was silently giggling as they twitched occasionally as Alice was sleeping. Dylan decided to see how Alice would respond. He gently rocked her awake.
Alice's ears shot up as Alice did in fright. "I'M AWAKE... oh... oh, hey Dylan. I'm sorry if that was too loud" Alice tried to get the sleep out of her eyes, while the ears drooped back down, having some stiffness due to the shock.
Dylan laughed. "Hey Alice. Exam studying?"
"Yeah. Tiring. Just thought I would get some rest before the lecturer arrived. I'm honestly glad you woke me up though. Don't want an earful of questions about why I was sleeping in class by the lecturer"
Dylan giggled as she mentioned her ears. She pulled a small pocket mirror and was exhaustively annoyed by the state of the fur on her ears. "*groan* I hate when my ears look untidy. It's easy for you and your tail, because it doesn't brush against any other hair. Me on the other hand has to be careful that my ear fur doesn't brush against my hair"
Dylan decides to let her rest for a bit longer, since there were still a lot of students that were still on their way here, and the lecturer hadn't arrived yet. They said a brief goodbye for now and Dylan went back into his seat some spaces away from her, plotting and planning for who is next to get these magic animal parts!
