After the successful test, Dr.Rachel Covaks walks to a hidden room in her laboratory. She made sure to lock the door and looked in the mirror and cried.
”It’s okay Rachel this is the only way. It will be over soon.”
Rachel never wanted to use this weapon and never wanted the war to come down to this. Rachel was born on Venus. She was a brilliant child prodigy that earned a medical degree and two Ph.D.'s one in genetic engineering and biochemistry. She became a neurosurgeon at the age of 24 something unheard of in the medical and scientific community on both sides of the war. She is known for her groundbreaking research on reprogramming brain tumors into normal cells. When the Surgeon Master of the Dominion of Girl died Rachel gladly took the job.
The Chancellor of the Dominion tasked Rachel with creating a bioweapon that could end the war converting planets' worth of men into women. Although Rachel had the weapon concept and plan ready she never wanted to use it as many boys had no allegiance and just wanted peace like everyone else. She thought it was unethical to use something so powerful and didn't want to wipe the y chromosome and male identity from existence. She refused to develop the weapon further even risking execution for her defiance. That was until one frail asshole changed everything.
Even though both factions had their separate worlds both used Earth (the original home of both factions) as a neutral place as a ground for attempted peace talks. Also, innocent people with no allegiance to either faction lived on Earth. Earth also held massive sentimental and emotional value for the girls. Rachel set up a hospital to treat both male and female patients regardless of faction. Both factions agreed not to use bioweapons and/or major gene editing as both sides still wanted to maintain some sense of being human.
One scientist on the boy's side didn't care. Dr. Lyle Smith has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and saw the war as a way to carry out horrible gene-editing experiments on people of both sides. He would create bioweapons that would cause horrific mutations. Then one day while Rachel was on a goodwill mission with the medical and scientific corps, he unleashed his creations on the hospital. Mindless half-human half-animal experiments attacked the hospital killing innocents on both sides and eventually his experiments and the ensuing chemical and nuclear warfare made Earth a toxic radioactive wasteland full of mutants.
99 percent of the medical and scientific corps was wiped out with Rachel as the sole survivor. In fact, her current assistants are just troops that took some science courses in college.
Rachel still refused to use her weapon as she didn't want to go down to his level. Plus rumor had it that the boys would execute him due to him turning boys into mutants as well. But Dr. Smith helped the Vice Lord of the Kingdom of Boy overthrow the Grand Lord. Then the Kingdom of Boy deployed millions of radioactive mutants on the girl’s moon base and the Dominion of Girls lost the entire Epsilon Legion and the moon shifting the balance of power towards the boys. With that action, Dr.Smith and the kingdom of boy officially ended any chance of peace between between the two sides. At this point, it was either the Dominion of Girl or Kingdom of Boy. One side must be gone for the other to exist and Dr.Cavoaks became determined to wipe the y chromosome from the universe.
Although the boys may think they are winning the are about to learn the tide is going to shift towards the girls. The reason for this is because the Kingdom of Boy would be without their Chief scientific and weapons officer. She looked at herself and wiped the tears off. She walked further into her secret lab she had set up. In the chamber is Dr.Smith. The Zeta legion led a heroic assault on his compound and they brought him to her.
