Two years after the death of Alicia, an Amazon who had left on a long and perilous journey to find new territories for her tribe to colonize returned with shocking news: she had found a large and growing settlement composed entirely of men from every race and ethnicity, with a warrior-based culture similar to that of the Amazons. This news shocked the whole of the tribe, and the council of elders ordered a special meeting to discuss what to do.
At the meeting, it was nothing but shouting and voices competing with each other for attention. Some of the Amazons demanded that this settlement of men be wiped out without delay. They spoke of the old days when men sought to capture and enslave Amazon women, for if a n Amazon was impregnated by a man, she would always give birth to a son. Others argued that there was no reason to go to war - the men knew nothing of the existence of the Amazons, and even if they did, they would never dare try to invade in a world filled with hostile monster girls.
But eventually, it was decided that something needed to be done. The elders declared that five Amazons must travel to the land of men and determine whether or not they were truly a threat. You were chosen to lead the group, which consisted of the Amazons Cleo, a long dark-haired beauty who threw her opponents off-balance with her charm and charisma; Eleanor, a warrior of high intellect who favored strategy over strength; the dark-skinned Annabeth, the fiercest of the tribe's vanguard; and finally, Gillian, who had only just joined the tribe but had impressed many with her quick mastery of all things Amazonian. Although there was some dissent over the choices made, the elders gave the group their blessing and ordered them to leave right away.
The trip to Man's world was long, but the Amazons worked together and stayed clear of the other monsters, especially the orcs. After a week, they reached the outskirts of the settlement. Inside, music and loud conversations could be heard, and the sizzle and smell of meat and cooked vegetables filled the air.
Choosing a nearby cliff from where they could not be seen, the Amazons began to spy on the men. They observed large numbers of men, all of whom were muscular, dressed in animal skins and finely-crafted armor, carefully maintained their hair and beards, and practiced endlessly the arts of war and combat. The group talked their options over. Cleo and Annabelle argued that they needed to infiltrate the settlement to learn the true intents of their enemies. The other Amazons disagreed, but that night, the two went anyway. They did not return.
Gillian volunteered to find an even higher vantage point and try to find the missing Amazons. What she returned with was troubling. Annabelle was nowhere to be seen, but Cleo had been spotted in the center of camp, eagerly sharing in the food of the men and shedding her Amazonian garb in favor of two skins loosely wrapped around her breasts and thighs. What was more, Gillian had noticed that her belly had begun to swell. The fact that she was eating three times as much of any of the men made it clear that she was dining for two.
Eleanor was horrified and demanded that they go home and rally the other Amazons to destroy these evil men. There was no hope of saving Cleo, for now that she was pregnant by a man, she was impure, and Annabelle would have taken her own life before letting the same fate befall her. But Gillian stood firm. Maybe Cleo was beyond redemption, but if Annabelle was still alive, they had to at least make an attempt to save her.
