As Marianne streaked through the water, she reveled in the feel of the lake streaming against her fur. Swimming spoke to a part of her she didn't know she had, the otter part of her brain that was steadily growing stronger.
To her surprise, Marianne found her otter eyes were well suited to seeing underwater and she was able to quickly bolt through the water unnoticed - perfect for giving the boys a surprise. With a jolt, she launched herself to the top of the water and screamed, causing the boys to also scream and fall backwards tail first into the water.
The first to reemerge was Jack, whose fur was soaking and hair covered his eyes almost like a sheepdog. His tail was thoroughly waterlogged, its normally bushy fur matted giving it an almost rat like shape.
Behind him, Sean emerged, his fur and tail looking similar followed by Rick who, in spite of the scare, couldn't help but laugh and playfully splash at Marianne causing her to blush.
"Hey! Not cool! My mom says I'm nottallowed to get my tail wet, its too heavy like this and I'm not strong enough to hold it up at my age!" Jack shouted at her. Momentarily, he thoughts paused, wondering where he dragged up that information
having only been a skunk for a few hours.
Marianne roller her eyes and stuck her tounge out at him. "That's what you get for being such a gross stinky skunk!"
"Hey! Your lucky you're a girl, otherwise I'd totally spray you! He replied.
"Whatever, you're just made cause us otters totally dominate in the water!" She replied "I guarantee I could beat all of you in a swimming contest...even with my eyes closed!"
"Nuh uh!" Shouted Sean, joining into the fray after ringing his tail dry "I've been practicing swimming for years! I could totally beat you, even if you cheat with your dumb rudder tail!"
"Its not dumb! Its cute!" She replied "How about this then! We race out to the end of the dock, if any of you boys beat me i'll...."
A blush crossed her face as she caught an eager look from an intently listening Rick. A flutter arose in her stomach and her mind raced with the possibilities. Distantly, she realized boys should be attractive to her....she was a origionally boy after all, and Rick of all people, her moapy friend, DEFINITELY shouldn't have interested her. But things had changed. She felt different in this body. Girly. Cute. And the boys just looked...so yucky!....yet fun, and handsome.
She knew what prize she wanted to give.
"...I'll give the winner a kiss!" She said with a wink.
