"Now then Critter Cats! Time for the prowl!" announced Lily. Excitedly, the other girls stood. Some unsheathed their claws others dropped to all fours, tails lashing in excitement.
"The...prowl?" replied Janet, unsure what was
"Of course silly....we're cats, we love to hunt, don't tell me you've never gone on a prowl before, its a blast!" said Alex, grabbing Janet's hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze. "C'mon, follow us and when some prey shows up, you'll just...know what to do from there....trust me"
"Uh, okay...." Janet replied, still unsure, especially given the flippant usage of 'prey,' but increasingly trusting in her new feline friends.
The group then set off into the woods, following a trail deep into the trees. As they walked, they casually chattered, giggling about the days events and cute boys they'd ogled earlier. About ten minutes into the walk, an odd scent caught Janet's nose. It was...strange, savory and seemed to arouse a strong desire and excitement within her. Turning, her eyes narrowed sharply as she spied a robin singing gracefully on a tree branch. As a human, Jared would most likely have ignored the bird, or at the very least briefly admired its singing. But as a feline, Janet was captivated. The robin quickly became the center of her world as she felt herself drawn down to all fours, her claws slipping from their sheaths and teeth baring slightly. She was on the hunt.
