Aidan woke up later than usual for his old life, but without worrying about his classes he could sleep in. So, instead of his normal six o´clock it was nearly nine as he woke. After his routine of licking himself clean, doing his business outside and breakfast he followed his (implanted) desire for some fresh air and strolled the city for hours. Some time was used by playing with a young kid which had fun throwing a ball for him, and not once the mother asked about his for a human unusual behavior. Thanks to Mark´s input in the chronivac, no one took real notice of him, and the child just had fun with a playful stranger. Maybe the child thought it was funny playing a dog?
Around the time Mark´s classes ended Aidan was near the uni and waited for him, just like he normally did before. “Oh, hi Aidan. What are you doing here?” asked Mark, a bit confused. Aidan shouldn´t be at the uni today.
Aidan looked at him concerned. “Are you okay, master … eh Mark? I normally meet you here after your classes, right?”
Mark realized that while he said Aidan should not go to his classes, he still had to meet him here from one of his first commands. Mark laughed a bit as he answered: “Ah sorry, I had some test and it simply slipped my mind.” They slowly walked back to Aidan´s flat, talking about Aidan´s day.
Once there, Mark did his homework, absently playing with Aidan´s tennis ball. That, in turn, distracted Aidan completely from his book, as he watched the ball continually, slightly annoyed Mark never threw it for him. When Mark was finished, they headed out like they did the day before, and Aidan enjoyed being played with. So, this day ended like the other day, with Aidan dropping after his food onto his bedroom carpet, his book still not finished.
On his way home, Mark stopped at the local pet store, where he already got the dog food for Aidan last Saturday. Beside buying more dog food, now both cans with wet food and a bag of dry food, he also got a dog bed and a couple of more toys for Aidan. With that, he got home, already preparing his flat for Aidan´s arrival tomorrow.
Friday morning had Aidan waking up late yet again, and after his morning routine he again headed outside. He strolled the neighborhood again for hours, played a bit with a forgotten ball in the park, until he had to meet Mark at the uni again.
On their way to Aidan´s flat Mark bought some food for himself, with a bit extra for Aidan. After all, Mark planned to finish Aidan off today. So, while Aidan played with one of his chew toys and tried to finish his book, Mark did his homework quickly, then prepared the food before eating, giving Aidan the leftovers afterwards. “You have been good, so you earned it to get something special, Aidan.” Mark explained while Aidan happily ate his treat.
