Suzie was framed; she had gone shopping at Best Buy with her friends - at least she thought they were her friends. The cool kids had asked her to go shopping after school and she jumped at the chance to hang out with them. What she didn't know was that as they were perusing the store, Zach and Sally had been taking small but expensive items off the shelf and sneaking them into Suzie's purse! As they reached the exit, Zach and Sally stopped and let her go through the doors alone. Immediately the alarms went off and a guard stopped Suzie from leaving. "Open your bag, ma'am," he said gruffly. When the stolen goods were found in her purse, the police came and took her to jail. Zach and Sally were nowhere to be seen.
"Officer, this is a huge mistake!" Suzie pleaded. "I don't know how those electronics got into my purse! I was just shopping with my friends, maybe one of them put it in my purse?"
"Hmm, likely story." They cop grunted. "So as it stands, you have a few options; since you just turned 18, this shoplifting charge now goes on your permanent record. If this had happened last week, we might have been able to let you off with a warning, but as an adult, the law carries a more serious punishment for shoplifting. You have the right to trial by jury, but until then, you can either pay the $500,000 bond and go home today, or you will be placed in the county jail until your trial. I should warn you, it may be 6 to 9 months before your hearing takes place."
"But I don't have that kind of money!" Suzie cried. "A-a-and I can't go to JAIL! They'd eat me alive in there!"
"Well there is a third option," the officer said. "It's pretty new program, but you'd get out of here without having to post bail."
"Well yes of course!" Suzie exclaimed. "What do I need to do to leave without paying bail?"
"Well....." the officer hesitated, "the program hasn't been tested yet, but you could enroll in the MORPHPFVTAEOR program. I think you'd actually be the first to try it. MORPHPFVTAEOR - we call it MORPH for short - changes your body into something else, some type of creature or character. Basically your body becomes your bail, and you are turned back into yourself when you show up for your court case."
"Gulp..... Well if it's between that and jail...... I guess..... um..... where do I sign?" Suzie asked him nervously.
