With Aidan being his new candle holder for his date, Mark needed five candles now. And he didn´t want them to be ordinary, either. With the chronivac at his hands, he decided quickly he needed a couple of victims to turn into candles. But as his date was in about an hour already, he hadn´t much time to look for specific people. So, Mark scanned the surrounding area of the flat.
And he was lucky. Just one flat down to Aidan´s, there was a group of five people enjoying time together. Mark couldn´t say what they did right now, but from the program he could see they were in a good mood right now. Smiling, Mark gave himself the power to change the five, before grabbing Aidan and moved over to the neighbors flat.
Aidan wasn´t happy being carried around, even if he enjoyed the warmth. But as Mark left his flat to knock on Geoff´s door, he started to fear for him. What would Mark do to his friend? He hadn´t been able to read the screen, so he didn´t know there wasn´t only Geoff inside.
When Geoff opened the door, he was met by someone he only knew by sight in the uni. But he also knew that this young man had visited Aidan sometimes. After a short greeting, now knowing the guy was called Mark, he let him in after Mark said so, which confused him greatly. But without voicing his question, Geoff retook his position on his desk chair, facing the others.
Mark looked around the group of people inside the room. There was Geoff, the owner of the flat who had let him in. It seemed he had been working on his computer, as he took computer courses at the uni. On the couch opposite of him sat Jack, one of the sport stars at the uni, and Mitch, who studied engineering. On another chair beside Geoff sat Steve, a bit younger than the others, a music student in his junior year. Lastly, there was Tyler, the oldest of the group, who was studying chemistry. “What an unusual group of friends, all with different interests.” Mark thought.
As all eyes were on him, Mark grinned at the five. He still held Aidan in front of himself, so Aidan could see who was all there. “What do you need, Mark?” asked Jack, the only one with a bit more contact to Mark before.
Mark answered: “Oh, you see, Jack, I have a date later. And as Aidan became this nice silver candle holder for that, I will need five candles to put him to good use. So, as you are five guys here right now, I say you five will be my candles for that.”
Aidan screamed in horror at the group, knowing exactly what would happen now, as Geoff asked confused: “What do you mean, Aidan is your candle holder? And we aren´t candles?” The others looked as confused as he did.
Mark laughed, already seeing the changes start as their skin got paler. “I change him into it, just like I´m changing you. Now stand up keep silent and still in position.”
The confusion of the five was still there, as each of them thought Mark was crazy. Steve was the first to notice something after they all stood next to each other, but couldn´t speak. Soon after, they realized Mark wasn´t lying about their predicament.
Each of them felt their body stiffen, arms to their sides, legs close to each other. Mark watched as, starting from their socked feet, slowly everything turned into wax. The outer layer was white and formed out of their clothes and skin, but their bodies followed quickly with the hardening.
Halfway through the changes, Geoff, Steve and Mitch looked horrified at Mark, while Jack was still oblivious and Tyler was shocked and unresponsive. But nonetheless the changes climbed further. When everything from the neck down was wax, they had all fallen into shock, which was the expression frozen in wax when their faces turned. Each of them had a strand of hair pointing up, becoming the wick to light them. The final part was the same as with Aidan before, they started shrinking down, until their laid five equally big candles on the carpet.
Mark collected them and returned to Aidan´s flat with them all. He used the chronivac to finalize something he wouldn´t tell them before putting his “Mark rules” comment to inactive like he did with Aidan before.
To each of the five these final changes made them rather horny and aware of what would happen to them soon. It also bonds them to their wax bodies. So, when they burned down, they would still be there. Grinning happily, Mark packed the laptop, Aidan and the candles before leaving the flat. After all, he needed to be ready for his date.
