"Well, there's only one period left for today, so someone's gotta come and claim it quick. Or else it'll get thrown away." Announced Emily.
"If it's really none of ours AND it's not Greg's... then it must just be a student's right?" Paula asked, twirling her ponytail slightly while she leant back in thought.
"No. It's some cheap, old polaroid what student would bring it?" Rachael scoffed.
"Girls girls it's a camera." Olivia reminded them, lifting herself up from her seat. "If someone wants it it's here for them and if not it doesn't matter. No need to fight about it." Olivia smiled at her work friends.
"Yeah you're right." Racheal giggled.
"Yeah yeah." Paula smirked, but with some eye roll.
"Ok, then that's settled." Emily smiled, standing up slowly while holding her stomach. "Now, does anyone want to walk me to class? I'm starting to get tired pretty quickly." She muttered, somewhat embarrassed.
"Oh of course dear!" Rachael happily responded immediately. "I felt the same way with Jack hon it's nothing to feel ashamed of..." She began to ramble while the four of them walked out of the room, Racheal and Emily locked arm in arm, unaware of their previous relationship before reality itself had changed.
The camera remained seated on the table for a few more minutes. Eventually, however, a custodian found his way into the lounge. In their rush, the four women had left their lunch leftovers scattered on the table with the camera mixed within. Without much care, the old man simply grumbled about inconsiderate teachers as he swooped the garbage into his rolling bin. The camera landed safely on top as he wheeled out back into the hall.
The man left the can beside the faculty bathroom, needing to relieve himself before he had to clean the main lunchroom. All those ungrateful kids always left it a mess for him, which pissed him off. Little did he know that previously he had been a 20 year old frat by who was partying with some of his boys in a bar before reality itself had changed around him.

"I can't believe we missed lunch for this." Marco huffed, grumpily shoving his hands into his jean pockets.
"You didn't have to come with us Marco." Kelly teased, giving Marco a glare .
Marco stopped walking and frowned. "Come on, I just didn't want you two idiots wasting the whole period." He scoffed.
"Well thank you Marco." Terry Laughed, giving Marco a wink.
Marco turned his head away with a bit of blush. He didn't want to admit it, but he did enjoy spending time with these dorks. He and Kelly were old friends who reconnected in high school, and although he had only recently met Terry he definitely felt... different around him. He thought Terry was so... cool, yeah cool. Especially since he was openly gay which Marco couldn't imagine dealing with in their school.
Marco glanced at the larger window which looked into the cafeteria. Part of him did want to be in there, but for some reason he still hung out with them. His vision then shifted to see their reflections. Marco was a skinny but tall half Mexican half Cherokee guy with unkept black hair, and a lot of dark clothing.
In front of him was Kelly. Kelly was a slightly dorky white girl with straight brown hair that went down to her bubble butt. She wore cute glasses on her freckle covered nose and a cute pink sweatshirt and ripped jeans. To her right was Terry, who was wearing a colored shirt opened up slightly with dark skinny jeans and a rainbow band on one arm. He had one pierced ear and blond, gelled up hair.
"Well, I think we got enough shots of the courtyard... what about the band room?" Kelly asked Terry, brushing her hair over her shoulder.
"Mmmmm, maybe." Terry wondered. "I was thinking about doing the math classrooms next. What do you think Marco?" Terry asked.
"Wha- me? I don't know anything about photography that's your guys's thing." Marco shrugged off the question, looking over towards the other wall. When he did, something glittering caught his eye. "Hey, look it what we have here." He smirked.
"What?" Kelly asked. Marco shuffled over, then reached his hand into the garbage bin. Terry chuckled and Kelly gasped loudly. "Marco! That is totally disgusting you can't just go around the trash it's filthy!" Kelly sneered.
"Relax Kel, look." Marco said, showing off the polaroid.
"Woah, that thing looks ancient!" Terry gasped. "SO retro." He smiled, causing Marco to smile a bit.
"Ugh, at least let me clean it quickly." Kelly scolded before pulling some baby wipes from her book bag. As she washed it down, she began to also look it over. "Hmm, looks like an old polaroid... cool, these things are able to just print out the picture immediately." She explained, as she unknowingly hit a switch. Now, unknown to the three of them, awareness now shifted once more.
"Can you use it for the yearbook?" Marco asked.
"No, we need those to be digital." Terry said, lifting the camera up. "But, it can totally be used for personal group pics!" Terry smiled.
"Well... I guess we can afford SOME time for personal shots before next period." Kelly sighed half jokingly.
"Relax Kelly we're seniors." Marco teased. "We can afford some leeway here and there."
"Says the guy who just stuck his hands in the trash." Kelly snapped back before tossing the baby wipes at the chuckling Marco.
Meanwhile, Terry had noticed the odd writing all over the camera. "Gender? Age? Species? Relationship? What even are these?" He thought. He tried to select them, but realized most of the buttons were stuck. Whatever the awareness toggle was he was able to move that, but the other option section seemed to be stuck on random. He selected a random awareness setting, then readied the camera.
