You saw the new student come in, and they appeared to have an entourage. Here was what appeared to be a three year old girl dressed in a little sailor suit. You could see her puffy pull-ups peeking out from under her skirt and that her hair was pulled up into little pigtails. Her entourage was a tall woman in full secret service attire, complete with the sunglasses and radio earpiece. She carried the toddler’s bags and had the same hairstyle as her.
Mr. Akira, your homeroom teacher, strode into the room after. He was certainly surprised to see not only a literal toddler in his classroom, but this woman in black as well. “What is the meaning of this?” he asked the woman.
“Escorting Miss VanBuren to her new residence, sir,” the secret service woman stated flatly, “She is set to attend classes at this academy, as per her mother’s will.”
“That’s Meredith VanBuren?” Mr Akira balked.
“Uh-huh!” was the toddler’s reply, “I yam a genius!”
A genius baby was attending your class?! You felt like you were experiencing second hand embarrassment.
“I should presume that this is no issue, correct?” the suited woman asked Mr Akira.
“N-none! None whatsoever!” Akira grinned nervously, “Meredith, you’ll be assigned to sit over there, next to Mr John Doe over there.”
“Otay,” the toddler replied with a lisp as she walked over to her desk, right next to yours. She clambered up onto her chair, and stood on the seat to reach the desktop. A baby genius. Ridiculous!
