Jim got out of the bed, Kyle still laying comatose between him and Andy. As he got up though his brother gave him a searching look which he just waved off. "Need a snack."
Andy nodded. "Bring me back something." He was trapped under Kyle's arms and leg. Well, not trapped but moving would wake him up and he was enjoying having the hunk curled up against him.
He nodded to his brother and pulled on his shorts as he headed back to their apartment. Instead of going to the kitchen though he went back to his room. There was still something missing. Someone missing. It was almost impossible to think of Andy as his daughter and not his twin unless he really focused on it, but there was someone who was completely missing.
He started browsing through the options and found one for duplicating an individual. Kyle was already a good enough subject, but the Chronivac was asking to scan the individual to be duplicated. He needed a..
He headed out to their living room where they had some pictures hanging, many were just the two of them but there were some family shots, and there on the wall was a picture of an individual, standing on the beach. One that looked a whole lot like Jim and Andy did now. Not exactly, but the family resemblance was clear. He ran back to the computer and put the picture in front of the camera. It scanned it, bringing up a model of a familiar person.
He was the same age as Jim and Andy, meaning the program would probably make them triplets, but he wasn't identical to them. A little leaner, a little taller, and not quite as fuzzy, though he did have some hair across his chest and stomach. He did match the twins between the legs though.
The prompt was clear enough. "Make this individual a duplicate of Luke Young?" He clicked to do so, and then again to alter reality. With Luke back the three of them could be a family again. He quickly ran into the kitchen to grab a few beers and some protein bars. He was feeling lazy with the snacks. He rushed back to the apartment to try to witness the changes as they happened.
