It is 7:45 A.M. in the morning and 18 year old Olivia Maxweller is excited. She is starting her own independent research today. It is the spring semester of her junior year in college. Olivia is a student dual majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology at Venturis Universty. Venturis is a prestigious private university with an acceptance rate of 2.5%, Olivia got into the college with a full ride when she was 16, instead of going to the dorms she decided to commute to school mainly for two reasons, one she was underage and two her house was only 25 minutes away from the university. She is a hardworking straight A student with a 4.0 GPA. Her dual major is rigorous and it doesn't help that she is also on a pre-medical track, and she has had multiple breakdowns but after much appreciated therapy she got better coping methods.
Normally only seniors get their own independent research labs complete with room and funding, however Olivia after building a solid trust with faculty through being a good lab assistant and having a good research proposal and one senior graduating early they decided to grant her early access. She was honored when the department head Dr. Smith told her the good news and even offered to be her research advisor. She was not to waste this opportunity. She made it to her booked lab Smith-Miller Science Building Room 028. Today was Monday and thankfully she didn't have any classes. She could spend a lot of time in the lab today. She got ready to conduct her research.......
