You work at a secret government agency, but being part of the financial department you don't get to take part in most of the action, so to speak.
And yet, at times, some leaks from the other department kept reminding you why you chose this job: Even by filling this boring paperwork, you were covering the agents in the field, and researchers in the labs- and by doing so, defending your country! And freedom!
This was not one of those days.
It was about 2 PM when Jared, your friend from a few cubicles down the hall, walked in and quickly sat down on your desk, a look of mischief in his eyes as he looked around to check he was not being eavesdropped. He was holding a strange, suspiciously small suitcase.
"Dude, you won't believe what I just got my hands on.", he whispered excitedly, "One of those idiots from research just forgot this thing next to his chair at the dining hall! You wanna go check out what this is?"
Jared was known to get himself into all sorts of trouble, but this was too much. He could get him self (and now you) killed for something like this.
"Are you out of your fucking mind, man?", You try to reason with him, "Maybe it's not too late. Go back to the dining hall and put that thing back where you found it before the suits come and make us disappear!"
"You've got to calm down, dude.", Jared continues with his surprisingly chill attitude, "I heard the guys talk about this thing. No one knows about it yet, it's a prototype they've been working on in secret to show to their boss or something."
Noticing you've slightly calmed down after hearing this, he nudged your shoulder with anticipation, "I'll see you in the break room in 10."
