She leaned down, and picked up what looked like an old, bronze ring. Usually rings weren't exactly her thing... but something about this one appealed to her, though she couldn't put her finger on it.
"Huh, why not." She shrugged, placing it on her right hand.
Stacy started back on her walk to practice when her cell rung from inside her bag. She pulled it out and sighed.
"Great, a call from Chelsea." She mumbled before answering. "I'm almost there, what does she want?" She wondered.
"Hey sis what's up?" Stacy greeted, putting on a facade of pure bliss. "Such a lovely day right?"
"Hey girl... not really? It's all cloudy and humid out." Chelsea responded.
"Oh, uh yeah, just trying to be optimistic!" Stacy replied, not entirely sure why she had said it was a nice day. It was gross out!
"Well anyway, just wondering when you'd get to practice? All the girls are SUPER anxious about the upcoming face offs and you know, like, we wanna be prepared." Chelsea said in her smug nasal tone.
Stacy was livid. She liked Chelsea, she really did, but sometimes she could be such a bitch! She figured part of the reason was because she was jealous that Stacy was cheer captain and not her.
"Oh, of course Chelsea..." She responded, trying her best not to snap.
