Connor was your general average highschool boy in America. He was 16, a bit unlucky in the love department, but was a little lucky that his dad had left him his old car in his will... Oh yeah also he was a little unlucky that his dad had died in a plane crash... It was years ago though, and had gotten over it as much as you can... but being 16 and finally being able to drive his old car Connor felt a little sadness and happiness all the same time when he turned the engine on. Connor drove back home, and usually he'd get some drive-thru on the way back however he skipped the burger as his mom wanted to go out for dinner for once. Apparently she had something she wanted to show him.
"It was a nice restaurant" his mom said. Thus he needed to take a shower, take a nice shower... put a small spritz of his dad's cologne... Conner was ready in some nice clothes, and left with his mom to the restaurant.
In the car Connor asked "So... what's going on?"
his mother replied "Well. You know that I've been dating around a little while?"
"Yes, you've found someone?"
she nodded and said "Their nice, also a widower, and has a kid around your age. I believe that they go to your school as well."
Connor's eyebrow raised as he said "That's a coincidence."
"It is, and you know how I said we probably couldn't afford to bring you to college?" Connor nodded and his mom said "Well we can just fuse you two together and we'll be easily able to afford the college for you two. Plus it'll just be like you'll be both of our children!"
"Wait! What?!?" Connor said concerned "You're going to fuse me with someone I barely even know!?!"
His mom said "We'll let you get to know each other before fusing, but our funds would still be a little thin if we don't." Connor himself hoped that he could talk to his soon to be step-sibling and maybe with them he could talk some sense into the adults.
Connor and his mother walked into the fancy joint, and Connor noticed when his mother held up a hand and a man at a large table looked at her and then grinned. The middle-aged man still had a large feeling to him, and the way his hair was greying for sure made him feel mature... He was alone though...
Connor's soon to be step-dad said "Hey Connor right? Sorry my Kiddo ain't here right now. They were a little busy so they'll be coming a little bit later." then held out his hand. Connor took it for a handshake and was subject to the man's firm grip.
