Nora took a deep breath, her options were limited. Quickly she shook the thoughts of calling some of her old coworkers out of her head. They had forced her out, chances were she would find herself controlled by them. Instead she would call an old friend.
Molly was her oldest friend. The two women had known eachother since graduating from college. Originally coworkers the two became great friends before deciding on different paths in life. Nora went on to lead her advocacy group, gaining tremendous power, wealth, and influence while Molly decided to start a family.
Since that time Nora had become Aunt Nora to Molly's children and grandchildren. The two women remaining close despite their different lifestyles. Now she hoped Molly would be able to help.
Sending her old friend a Facebook message, Nora now waited for her arrival. Molly had texted back she would come. Nora had no reason to doubt the woman, Molly had always kept her word and despite being 82 like Nora, was in surprisingly great health. Molly's only question was why Nora wanted clothes fit for a teenager?
Forty minutes later Nora found herself anxiously pacing in her front foyer. The teenage girl had been unable to find anything to fit her and still spirted her oversized silk robe. Unfortunately feeling if embarrassment washed of Nora as it was the only thing she had on. A cold marble floor with no shoes and continually having to tighten the robe made the girl hope Molly brought her something to wear..
A knock at the door now sent Nora into a panic, biting her lip nervously she now slowly opened it revealing her old friend.
Molly smiled at the girl in an almost grandmotherly fashion. The womans short silver white hair tied in a handkerchief. "Hello there," Molly said. "I'm looking for a friend of mine, Nora. Are you her niece? I didnt think she had any family?"
"Molly thanks for coming," Nora sighed heavily as she ushered the woman inside. "Plesse take a seat, theres something I need to talk to you about."
Molly did as she was asked, sitting on the couch as she studied the young teen. "Not sure what we could talk about young lady," she said. "Are you Nora's granddaughter? Also why are you only dressed in that robe? It looks like Nora's? Have you been raiding her closet? I doubt she would be very happy about that."
"I'm not her granddaughter," Nora sighed. The teenage girl now presented the stopwatch to Molly. The elderly woman studied it carefully, still confused. "What is this? A stopwatch?"
"Yes Molly a magic one," Nora stated. "You see, I'm Nora, your friend."
Molly chuckled softly, shaking her head. "You have quite the sense of humor child," she said. "You cant be more than what, 15? The woman I know is my age young lady."
"Its true Molly please believe me," Nora pleaded, realizing far too late she sounded every bit the whiny teenager. Looking her friend over, she could see Mollybwas dubious of her answer at best. Somehow Nora would need to convince her, the only question was how?
