"I suppose you also have the power to create machines? Both real, and imaginary?" you propose inquisitively. The genie smiles.
"Of course, Master! I have as much power over technology as I have over anything else in the human world. Even things that wouldn't be possible for the human technology in your era would be possible me. I can give you an army of android servants if you want it. I can provide faster-than-light starships to your species. Time travel devices, even. Of course, it can also be much more mundane, if you desire. Perhaps you only wish to own the best sports car known to the wealthiest of your current time."
"What if I wanted to BE the best sports car?" you suggest. The genie seems surprised.
"You would like to become a machine yourself?"
"Sure! I mean, who wouldn't? Why bother with all the limitations of a mortal body when you have a genie of the possible and impossible?"
"Very well, then. Certainly not something I've heard before in my thousands of years, although I did have a couple masters who wished to become inanimate objects of one sort or another. Is that what you want? To be a sports car specifically? Or one of the other machines I've mentioned? I can turn you into anything."
It's hard to stop yourself from bouncing up and down with joy. You reflect on the past history of technology and the scifi speculations of the future. It's hard to decide what to be. But not too hard: you've always been able to envision yourself as one particular machine above all others.
