Your fur just keeps getting more sensual, more marvelous, the longer and thicker it gets. You're thrilled that you're never changing back, because you'd never want to give this up. And to think you really found a genie who could give it you! None of your old friends and human family are equipped for the elements like you are! What you have now goes above and beyond any human clothing: the most luxurious fur imaginable, growing out of your own skin as long as you live. You'll never have to get dressed or worry about being naked again. You gently touch your whiskers one more time, never having realized how sensitive those are for animals who use them. You look back at the genie and speak to her again while you still can.
"I don't know how to thank you."
"You don't need to thank people any more, or even genies for that matter," she says with a flattered but perplexed sort of sly smile. You really are the only master she's had who has wished to change himself totally into a fox without any possibility of changing back. "The only thing you have to do from now on is live the wild life as a fox."
"... as a FOX ..." you repeat surreally, looking over your furry belly again, and then back down at the long tail stretched out lazily on the ground between your legs. You notice your tail has calmed down as you've become more acquainted with it, its motions more subtle, more natural for a relaxed and attentive fox. You deliberately elevate the gorgeous new appendage off the ground and wave it up in front of yourself like an orange and white banner, still awestruck that one of the most iconic features of fox is now yours as much as it is theirs. In fact, you find it's already getting harder to remember what it felt like not to have one!
Letting your tail back down, you shift your focus over to your feet, checking on how your fur growth is coming along on your legs. Your amazed to see that not only has your fur already covered them, but they're already splayed out and thinning, looking more like the lower part of a fox's hind legs. A weird fusing feeling, like a fading stickiness, leaves you with four toes! Reaching out to touch them, you marvel at the touch of your right paw, then your left. Better than shoes, you think, realizing you'll be able to run in the forest barefoot from now on.
A twig cracks somewhere in the forest, and you feel something new that startles you. It's the feel of something large jerking around on your head. You look in that direction, and feel these new muscles trying to zero in on something. Both of your earlobes feel odd, like they've been twisted slightly. You grab your right ear and are ecstatic to feel the big, triangular opening trying to stay aimed in front of you.
"What was that you said about animals having better senses?" giggled the genie, proving just how right you were about that. Her voice is much louder to you, and it gets crisper as your left ear gets aimed at her automatically. You start to notice even more sounds around you: birds chirping all over the forest, squirrels scurrying hundreds of yards away, leaves blowing across the forest floor. You'll need hearing like this to find prey! Your head darts around, whiskers wiggling in the thick air around you, ears twitching rapidly to take it all in. After a few moments, you have a good mental picture of what's around you, and your big ears slow down a little bit while remaining alert. You realize your changes are nearing completion now. There's not much left that's human about you except your eyes, nose, mouth, and arguably your claws hands. You can hardly wait to lose what's left, because you know you're gaining so much more.
