Just as Christine had finished wiping her down, Marcia’s bowels rumbled loudly. Christine raised an eyebrow at her.
“Someone’s got a loud tummy,” she said. Marcia crossed her legs. “Do you need to make boom-boom?” Cringing at the phrasing, but desperate to avoid another accident, Marcia nodded. “I’ve got just the thing.” Christine picked up Marcia, still naked from the change, and carried her over to a toddler training potty. She set Marcia on the potty. Marcia let out a sigh of relief as she emptied her bowels into the potty. “What do we say?”
“What?” Marcia asked.
“I helped you out. What do we say when someone helps you out?” Christine said. Marcia sighed.
“Thank you.”
“You’re very welcome, sweetie,” Christine said. “Are you all done?” Marcia nodded. “Good!” Christine picked Marcia up again and brought her back to the changing table, where she wiped her down and pinned a fresh diaper on. “I bet you’re happy to be in a clean diapy.” Christine redressed Marcia. She frowned thoughtfully. “Hmm. Something’s missing.”
“Really?”
“Yes. Hmm…” Christine opened a drawer in the changing table. “Ah-ha!” She pulled something out and popped it into Marcia’s mouth. Instinctively, Marcia suckled on it. “Baby needs her binky.” Marcia’s eyes widened. She was sucking on a pacifier! Quickly, she spat it out. Christine frowned at her.
“I don’t need a pacifier. I need to get back to work,” Marcia said firmly. Christine put the pacifier back in her mouth.
“No. Now that you’ve used both a diaper and a toddler potty, there’s been a change of plans,” Christine said. Dread built in Marcia’s gut. In her current situation, she was essentially helpless, unable to not go along with whatever it was Christine had decided to do. “Since you’re just a diaper-wearing little girl now, you’re going to…”
