Jen’s mom walked into her bedroom.
“Jen, what are you doing?” her mom asked. “You need to get ready for school!”
“But-” Jen started.
“Is your diaper at least dry?”
“Yes,” Jen mumbled.
“Well, that’s good. Let’s get you dressed.” Jen’s mom walked over to her dresser, from which she pulled out a teenage-sized baby dress. She went back to Jen and dressed her. The dress was so short that it didn’t even begin to cover Jen’s large, puffy diaper. “There. You’re running so late that you’ll have to have breakfast on the bus.”
“But-” Jen tried again. To her shock, her mom popped a large pacifier into her mouth, silencing her, then clipped the pacifier to the front of her dress.
“Come on.” Her mom ushered her out of the house, where the bus was already waiting, handing her backpack to her as well as a baby bottle full of formula. “Have a good day at school, sweetie.”
Cringing from the humiliation but unable to do anything else, Jen waddled over to the bus. However, the diaper so restricted her movement that she couldn’t walk up the steps. She had to crawl.
“Get in your car seat,” the bus driver said to her, sounding bored. Jen waddled over to a nearby empty car seat. The car seat was next to another one, which her friend Tiffany was already sitting in. “Someone help Jen.”
“On it,” a voice said. Jen’s blood ran cold. It was Kyle. Before she could protest, Kyle had lifted her into the car seat and buckled her in. He grinned at Jen. “Don’t worry, Jen, you’re still a cheerleader and in all your regular classes. I wasn’t that mean.” Jen spat out her pacifier.
“You little-” she started. Kyle popped her bottle of formula into her mouth.
“Don’t forget breakfast, big baby,” he said with a smirk. He walked away. The bus pulled away from Jen’s house. Jen guzzled down her bottle, then looked at Tiffany. Like her, Tiffany was dressed in a super short dress and large diaper.
“Hey, Tiff.”
“Hey, Jen,” Tiffany said around the pacifier in her mouth. Jen couldn’t help but wonder if Tiffany knew they weren’t supposed to be dressed like babies.
