With comfortable weather having come to Lyre and Animalia, it was safe to say that spring was on its way. This often meant Spring Cleaning for most people, but this also meant Spring Fever had arrived for many Animalians, mainly those who bred in spring. While the usual things that went on in Animalia at this time were happening, there were a few new things that were going on.

Lars' old frat bros had just gotten done with their conversions and were waiting on Timothy (or Tim, as he now called himself) as he went to visit Animalia's "Mane Six-and-One", since he had gotten Horse for his conversion. His mane and tail were both black, but his fur was a black that appeared to be blue under the right light. While all five of Lars' conversions seemed to have "frat boy" Syndrome, Tim was a little surprised that there were seven mares that were available now, even though he had heard of a rumor or two about them.
Later that afternoon, Tim showed up a little ragged around the edges though still standing. Apparently he had gotten jumped by all seven members shortly after introducing himself to them. Fortunately for all of them, Tim barely had enough stamina (sexual or otherwise) to satisfy all of them, but it was still a little worrying that Animalians, especially female ones, had more active libidos than humans did. Acclimation classes were offered that would help with this.

Spring coming to Animalia also marked the infamous "Spring Cleaning", which the GGAC were more than willing to help out with. Whether yardwork, renovations, or otherwise, the GGAC were more than happy to help out. Of course, they still had their workout sessions and LARPing sessions, so it was decided to divide all their newest members into different groups and rotate tasks. If the GGAC hadn't jumped up in membership by quite a bit recently, it would have become quite difficult to handle all the tasks.

Another thing that was going on was all the bird Animalians who were wintering in other locations were heading back. Probably the most well known couple was Henry and Beatrice, whom had spent their winter at Mieni Atoll, and had born witness to the new influx of "hippie" immigrants. While most of them weren't actively hostile toward Henry, there were a few insults that Beatrice didn't like. Fortunately she did have the mind to record their vacation so they could show their non-migratory neighbors the fun time they had, and they weren't like modern people who had to plaster screenshots of said video all over social media.
Speaking of bird Animalians, everyone was looking forward to the Around the World in 80 Days challenge, where certain bird Animalians, capable of flying long distances without rest, would attempt to circumnavigate the world using only "wing power". What most agreed on, at least on the website, was that a time limit of 80 days was too steep of a deadline to meet if they were flying solely by wing power, since modern planes could fly at superhuman speeds that Animalians simply couldn't match, which was acceptable to lengthening the overall deadline, but it was still called Around the World in 80 Days after the novel and/or movies.

There was one final thing that, while unexpected, helped some people look forward to spring 2021.
"Rosie?" asked the PR-MD agent, knocking at her Apartment door.
"Yes, what?" asked Rosie, politely, as she opened the door a little bit.
"We've managed to get some news on your ex-husband." said the agent.
"Oh?" asked Rosie, surprised and slightly afraid.
"Nothing to worry about." reassured the Agent, "He hasn't found you. It's just that karma and the police has finally caught up with him."
"Really?" asked Rosie, now a good deal happier.
"Apparently the girl he was staying with when he finally got caught got beaten pretty bad." answered the agent, "Not bad enough to kill her, but bad enough for the courts to say 'You're looking at five years prison time.'."
"I guess he's still angry about me leaving him." said Rosie.
"Officially, he's going to be part of Mercy's 'Criminal Trash Recycling' program," said the agent, "but since Animalia's 'four-punishment system' has done a really good job at rehabbing criminals subjected to it, he's going to be facing that as well. But don't worry, he's going to be a reptile, not only to see if that'll cool his anger off some but to also make sure he's as incompatible with you as possible."
"Good to know." said Rosie, full of conflicting emotions about meeting her ex-husband again.
