"Is my little princess up?" called his aunt as she opened up the door.
Jared looked down at himself. Wearing the yellow dress it seemed better to accept what had happened. Molly, he recognized to be a fairly unlikable person, he figured he could be different.
Or now, she, as Jennifer.
Jared looked up at his Aunt. She figured would now be better placed calling her Mom. She smiled and reached out.
“That’s my girl” his Aunt said.
Sitting in the crib, smiling at her new mother, Jennifer considered the pros and cons to her situation. She had lost her family, her friends, and her old life built up over years. She would inevitably also forget certain details as long term memory would not start developing until after he toddler years, around 4 or 5. There were some benefits. She had another chance at life. She could try a new perspective, meet new people, and she could try new tasks that would not have been as desirable before. She could try to be a better person than Molly in general as well.
