Rosa stared at the cockroach for a minute, giving Gloria a small bit of hope that she would be fine. This hope, though, was short-lived as Rosa spoke up. "Such a filthy bug! I'm glad I saw you, though..." Rosa said, mostly to herself, not thinking the cockroach could understand her, as she lifted her foot up, her black shoes casting a shadow over Gloria. Gloria tried to yell at Rosa and explain what was happening, but with no luck. Without a second thought, or a glimmer of hesitation Rosa slammed her foot down onto the ground, but missed. Taking this opportunity as a sign to run, Gloria quickly scurried away from Rosa, and under a nearby table into darkness. While safer, Rosa now knew of her existence, and knew exactly where Gloria had run off to. Gloria tried to think of a way out, she could try to run towards the door but that'd be way too risky, and Gloria wasn't exactly in the best position right now to try and escape. As far as Gloria could tell there also wasn't any other table close by to hide under, and while the table was low enough to keep Gloria mostly safe from Rosa, she knew that there were many ways to get rid of cockroaches like the one she had become.
In this desperate planning Gloria noticed a small hole in the wall, at the far end of the table. If she hurried maybe she could reach it before Rosa was able to do anything to her. Quickly, Gloria began running, the distance rather large for her now insect body. All the while, she could hear Rosa's booming voice from just outside of her hiding place. "I missed... But that means the bug is still in here, and I know just the trick to get it!"
