St. Patrick's Day in Animalia was a little more active than it was last year, partly due to the partial lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, but also because of the new influx of 'immigrants' to Animalia and its various colonies. The most surprising influx, in Lyre at least, was Asian Americans, partly due to the sudden spikes in Asian American murders, but Animalia was used to it by now. There was the usual forms of celebrating St. Patrick's Day, such as corned beef meals, "green beer", and so on, but there was also a few new things.

"Did you know," said one patron at the Meat Market as 'Becka Doubledecka' did a routine on the Meat Market's new stage, "in some cultures, snakes are actually not representations of corruption."
"Actually I did," said his friend, "In some places, snakes are representations of medicine, and a representation of fertility in others." They weren't paying attention to the current bartender writing their conversation down to pass on to Miss Fabina for some new ideas for new shows.

Meanwhile, Claw Coliseum was getting into the spirit after a fashion. They had began doing sports outside, which made some sense since it was now warm enough for such things. While there weren't anything like soccer and/or football teams quite yet, there were plenty of other sports that people could watch.
"I'm not sure why we have to be here." asked Beatrice, as she and Henry were watching a tennis match between Miss Fabina and Princess.
"While it's not only fun to watch," answered Henry, "We birds of prey are keeping an eye out for any signs of athletes cheating."
"Why would people cheat?" asked Beatrice, still confused.
"It's an old saying that 'wherever there's competition, there's cheating.', and we need to keep on top of things in order for things to remain fair." Answered Henry again.
"Okayyy..." said Beatrice, still not getting it.

While Asian Americans were moving to Animalia's colonies for 'protection' due to the recent trend of violence against Asians, the current trend was still going on, especially the recent trend of 'frat boy syndrome'. This was due in no small part to Lars and his friends becoming Animalians, as well as the fact that they had begun acting a little like stereotypical 'frat bros', much to the mixed reactions of both witnesses and commenters on the internet.

The most unusual thing, which could also be considered an act of good karma, was when an armored truck from out of town had a door malfunction, causing it to burst open in Animalia and scatter money everywhere. Most of it were either twenty or fifty dollar bills, but that didn't really matter much, because, starting with the GGAC, everyone began gathering up all the money. Because of this, everyone got to keep some of it as a kind of "pay day". The fact that it happened on St. Patrick's Day wasn't overlooked, but it was generally agreed that it wasn't some kind of 'divine intervention' thing.
