The first two weeks of the camp were coming to an end, and Mark was over the moon. While the mental manipulation was only starting to show in the New Boys, the New Men had all advanced by leaps and bounds.
The New men were all becoming more mature mentally by the day. This was caused not only by the daily sessions in adulthood, but the many ways that Mark was feeding them subliminal messages. From the movies they watched or the music listened too, the biggest influence was the subsonic messages played during the night. By the end of the two weeks, almost none of the New Men acted like their former ages. Most acting like they were in their teenage years, that time when you are trying to act mature but not always succeeding.
On the other had, the New Boys had not for the most part had any noticeable changes in personality. The one time that let Mark know things were progressing in the New Boys camp was when Sid was over for another session on teaching the New Men to be fathers. For a few moments, Mark could tell that Sid was not pretending to be a kid, but was actually thinking that he was. When he was suppose to be pretending to have a tantrum, for a few moments Mark could tell he actually was having a tantrum. Sid quickly realized what had happened and returned to his mature ways, but Mark knew progress was being made.
The one New Man that Mark was most impressed with was Big James. Having arrived as an eleven-year-old and swapping with a guy who was only thirty-three, Mark wondered if the lack in age difference helped the New Men mature faster. Because while the bodies of all of the New Men were improving thanks to the exercise and drugs, Make noticed that the guys with the greatest disparity in age swap were having the hardest time maturing.
