Emily stood up, she let out a deep breath and gained her composure.
She walked out of her the room and approached the stairs past the bookshelves. All she knew was that Max was in the garden, it can’t be that hard to find one person in a giant house, can it?
She knew that the garden would be outside, or at least that’s what she hoped. She made her way down the stairs, as she reached the next floor, she looked to her right and found a long hallway. She couldn’t help but feel a little intimidated by it. At the end of the hallways were two seats and a potted plant. There were windows looking into different rooms. She didn’t have time to explore them, but she knew she wanted to.
She went down the next flight of stairs, she could see there was another staircase, but she saw the ground out of the window. So she assumed that was a basement. She did find that pretty cool.
She knew the garden would be outside, so she’d have to circle the house to find it. And that she did.
She made her way to the front door, or maybe it was one of the front doors. It was hard to tell with the sheer scale of the house.
She walked past some windows, peering into what looked like a lounge area. It was large and had some high end technology, like a huge flatscreen TV, speakers in almost every corner. The room extended even further than just the lounging area, there were some seats and a table. She didn’t really understand what they were meant for, but maybe she just didn’t quite get the context.
Once she for the corner, she turned and realised it was a dead end, so she had to exit the area via some steps. This house was way too confusing, it wasn’t anything like what she had asked before. Then again, this wasn’t the same as before. Maybe this version of her loved the giant house.
She found a gate, and after finding her way to get to it, she walked through. There was a long path that went past more windows. She saw a different angle of the room she was just looking to, and then found yet another seating area on the other side of the wall. It did look cozy though, she couldn’t deny it.
Then she saw a plant pot.
She was relieved that she may have finally found the garden.
She walked further, seeing more and more bushes and small plants.
And then she saw him.
