"Did you drive here?" Max asked. She still couldn't believe the voice coming out of her mouth.
"Yes. I borrowed Mum's car"
"Is it parked nearby?"
"Just down the road"
"I'll get a coat. I need to cover myself up. I hope no-ones about. I don't want anyone to see me like this"
"I don't see what you are worried about. You are actually very good looking. Let me fix your hair, a little makeup and no-one would guess you were male a short time ago"
"No way am I wearing make-up"
"Suit yourself. Actually I just remembered. My sister asked me to pick up her dry cleaning and I did it on the way over here. I might have something more suitable for you to wear. I'm sure she won't mind. She won't know anyway as she's just left for a vacation.Wait here. You might be in luck" Krista left before Max had a chance to object.
Several minutes later Krista returned. She was carrying a garment in a clear plastic wrap. She had an excited grin on her face "This is perfect. Mandy was a bridesmaid last weekend. Because it's a wrap design it will accommodate your bust"
"But... But .. It's pink! ... It's almost see-through! I can't wear that"
"It will look a lot better than what you are currently wearing"
"But it's see-through"
"No problem. You just wear the lingerie underneath"
"Lingerie? What lingerie?"
"The anniversary present of course. This dress is designed for wearing a slip underneath and the colours match. It's perfect"
"I can't do that it will make me look girly"
"Der... I'm sorry Max but you are a girl! You will look girly no matter what you wear. Just wear this until we get to my place then you can take your pick of my clothes"
Max was still hesitant. "Maybe I'll just stay here. I could just suddenly change back"
"Don't be a coward. You look ridiculous. Take this and go and get changed" Krista held out the dress for Max. Reluctantly she accepted. Krista had a stern look on her face daring Max to challenge her command. Max knew that Krista was not going to back down. She took the garnet into her bedroom.
