As you lay your hand on the idol a glow starts to eminate from it. You quickly pull your hand away and it subsides.
‘What was that?’ You ask Eliza, she is just as confused as you.
She also reaches towards it causing it to glow a bit before taking her hand back.
“You...” she begins “...you don’t think this thing is ACTUALLY magical, do you?”
You shrugged, in all your years of artifact collecting you had NEVER seen something like this. However you weren’t going to get payed if you came all this way just to leave the idol here.
‘Only one way to find out.’ You say, quickly grabbing the idol. As before it glows at your touch, along with that it was warm. Very warm. The longer you held it the hotter and brighter it got. It felt like you had your hands rapped around an oddly shaped lightbulb. You let out a cry of pain as your hands begin to sizzle like bacon and steam begins to rise.
“Let go of it!” Eliza shouts.
‘I can’t!’ You responded. Your fingers remained locked around the futa centaur statue no matter how you struggled. You began to feel the energy flowing from the statue into your body, heating everything up.
Unexpectedly Eliza grabs onto the statue as well, trying to rip it from your grasp. Only to become trapped as well howling in pain.
The light and heat grew and grew, and you felt an odd gravitational pull towards Eliza. It was like the two of you had become magnets unable to resist the pull of one another with the statue at the middle. All the while the light increased and you felt yourselves skins touch together, melding into one another in the most intense pain that either of you had ever known.
