The time in Footlocker had gone very well for the two girlfriends as they now found themselves sitting in the food court at a table munching on salads. Jessica had found a very cute but practical green one-piece Speedo on sale that she had snatched up with glee while Kate in preparation for the sand volleyball summer season and Jessica urging her on had bought a green two-piece sport bikini that was also on sale. Both girls thought their buying the same green color in both garments was a sign of how well they went together.
Both girls ate their salads heartily as they talked about their day and what they intended out of their respective practices later in the day:
“I hope when I finally get this thing on (Kate eyeing her new swimsuit) no one laughs at me”
Placing her free right hand on Kate’s Jessica asked “Why would your team laugh at you, you look great no matter what you have on? God knows I already know that” Jessica finished with a giggle.
Meeting the comment with a deep red blush Kate answered “You know that I love to wear swimsuits but I’m always so self-conscious over whether I look good or am more of an eyesore in the skimpy fabric?”
Before Kate could say another word Jessica interlocked her fingers with Kate leaned close to Kate’s face over the table as she stopped talking and Jessica eye-to-eye with Kate said “Stop you look beautiful, and don’t ever let anyone else ever tell you differently” before leaning in the last little bit and kissing Kate on the lips. Both of them leaned back into their seats and both with smiles on their faces but Kate had an even bigger smile plastered on her face as her lips strained to the breaking point as she stared at this wonderful girl across from her. “How was I so lucky to find her” thought Kate as she stared at the glancing Jessica who had resumed eating her salad.
Jessica couldn’t wait for swim practice and voiced it to Kate. Jess hoped to beat the school record today and hoped that Kate could be there to see it especially since volleyball practice ended before her own practice. With interlocked hands Kate returned the love from earlier “I wouldn’t miss you for the world.”
