Etti had at first been dubious of the doctors treatment. According to Vergunstein, Etti would age backwards a year at a time. It meant that each day she would creep backwards, meaning that instead of turning 13 on her birthday she would turn 11.
Considering her birthday was 6 monthes away, Etti now began the painstaking process of monitoring her growth, or in this case ungrowth.
Everyday Etti now found herself weighing herself, measuring her height, examining her profile before getting dressed. At first the young actress felt as if she had been cheated. She looked exactly the same only increasing her apprehension. It was until after 3 monthes that Etti noticed something.
Etti had awoken that day like any other. Immediately she went about her morning routine, a weigh in after a shower followed by a close examination of herself. Etti had noticed her weight drop over the last month but had simply chalked it up to nerves. After weighing herself Etti now examined herself. As she went to examine her chest, she paused.
The girl had grown accustomed to the slight fat accumulating under her chest. Now though, the fat was gone. Etti's eyes lit up. Could it finally be working?
The next few monthes were a blur as Etti crept closer to what would have been her 13th birthday. As she awoke that day the girl lept from her look herself over.
Etti certainly didnt look like a teenager. A round face, boyish body, and zero signs of puberty in sight. Weighing herself Etti found she was indeed lighter, however, there was one final test.
Etti had noted her height the day after her treatment. If she was indeed growing younger than certainly she would be growing shorter as well. Standing with her back against the wall, Etti anxiously now marked her height with a pencil. As she now checked her height now as opposed to what it was when this started she let out a squeal of joy.
Their was no denying it, Etti had shrank two inches. Taking a look at an old height marker from her 11th birthday Etti could confirm she was indeed 11 years old again.
Etti let out a triumphant cheer, she was agreeing backwards now, her career was stronger than ever. As she now cheered this medical miracle she thought little of the fact that with each passing day she would slip further toward infancy.
