"Who does she think she is?" she asked Jill, unaware her next words would alter reality. "I bet that bitch acted just like us in high school..."
Of course, Ms. Dunn hadn't. Well, not until Ashley said that. In the past, Sarah Dunn had been not only homecoming queen and head cheerleader, but also a straight-A student as well. But, as Ashley said those words, a very different Ms. Dunn was at the front of the class. She now wore her wavy hair long, resting cutely at her shoulders. Despite her beautiful features, she also wore a significant amount of makeup, expertly applying blush, eye shadow, and lipstick to highlight her already stunning features. Her heavy sweater had been changed to a light, white blouse that she wore unbuttoned down to the top of her cleavage, and her skirt had shortened significantly, revealing her long creamy legs for all the boys to ogle.
"So like today I thought we could watch a movie," Ms. Dunn giggled. "Um, I found this old movie called Casablanca? I think it's about World War 1..." she said unassuredly, as she reached up to put the movie in the VCR. This caused her shirt to ride up slightly, giving Ashley a good view of her teacher's butterfly tattoo on her lower back. Ashley thought it was really cute, and strongly considered getting a similar one for herself.
"Um, Ms. Dunn, I think that's World War 2?" Hannah, one of the nerdier girls in their class corrected.
"Oh my god, who cares?" Ms. Dunn whined. "Like, I'm just your sub. Just be quiet and watch the movie," she added as she pressed play.
Instead of sitting down at her desk, however, as the movie started Ms. Dunn clattered over on her 6-inch heels to Ashley's desk and sat down next to her.
"Oh my god, can you believe that dork?" she asked, giggling.
Ashley burst out laughing. "Oh my god Ms. Dunn, it's so cool having a teacher like you who just gets it."
Ms. Dunn smiled back. Out of all the dorks and losers at this school, Ashley was really the only one she saw with any potential. "Oh c'mon Ash, call me Sarah."
It didn't take long for the class to degrade into random conversations and teens messing around. Most of the students felt lucky to get Ms. Dunn, the coolest sub, on the first day of school. With this being the last class of the day everyone was just looking forward to getting out and going home, or going to their own sports or clubs.
There were some exceptions like Hannah and her few friends, but they didn't say anything. Rather than be completely unproductive the young nerd took out homework for another class and got to work.
"Can you believe that dork? She'd rather work than enjoy a free period." Sarah laughed as she whispered to Ashley, earning laughter from those around them.
"I know, right? She's just going to be some HUGE nerd for the rest of her life." Ashley replied, laughing along with her role model.
Ashley and Sarah continued their conversation well into the class, with Ashley about to say another statement that would accidentally alter reality yet again.
