Turns out, James didn't have to hop very far before he found Kayla and his former body. His body was stumbling around a bit, and that concerned James. He hoped it was just a frog getting used to being human and walking on two legs but there was something familiar about it.
"Is that you James?" Kayla asked, squatting down.
James croaked at her in what he hoped was intimidating, but just came off as cute.
"Ah, I see. Guess wild frogs don't have names," she said.
Something in the back of his mind told him that was true. In all reality he was no longer James. He was just some random, lame frog. The sudden degradation made him feel more helpless than ever.
"That's me?" The new James asked with a slur in his voice. Was he drunk?
"That was, isn't he funny looking now? Just a dumb animal, no meaning to anyone." Kayla laughed.
"Yeah, you asked if I wanted to go back to that? NO WAY! I mean, this alone..." he trailed off, grabbing an obvious election through his pants. "I got lucky, he didn't. Too bad for him."
"If thats how you feel..." Kayla turned her attention to me. "The spell only works if deep down BOTH parties agree to the swap. So you wanted this, at least part of you did. Looks like now you just have to live with it."
