The handler released James from the machine. He slowly walked out, finding it much easier to walk without that cumbersome udder being so full.
He also realized something that scared him. He felt more peaceful now that he'd been milked. He felt more at home as a cow now, and began to wonder why he wanted to go back to being human at all...
No!
He fought against those feelings, telling himself he was a MAN and a HUMAN.
"You feeling ok girl?" The handler asked. "Oh, I know what it is. You must be hungry."
James mooed at him, trying to beg him to take him back outside so he could find someone, anyone he knew. He had to reverse this. He thought of his friends faces, but they were starting to get blurry. Not much memory space in the brain of a cow, it seemed.
"Well if you ain't hungry, maybe its that time?"
James looked at the man in confusion.
"Breeding time."
